Abstract

RAMALLO, Francisco. Paulo Freire with glitter and a green handkerchief: queer notes for educators. Sér.-Estud. [online]. 2019, vol.24, n.52, pp.101-122.  Epub Jan 09, 2020. ISSN 2318-1982.  https://doi.org/10.20435/serie-estudos.v20i52.1336.

In the last three decades the queer theories questioned the idea of an autonomous subject, the intellectualized pedagogy - disconnected from the bodies and the emotions -, the linearity of the mediation, the evolutionist racionality, the salvationist rhetoric of humanism and the evangelization of positivity and hope. This essay is a tribute - respectful and irreverent - to Paulo Freire, in whose shadows I intend to make a provocation that highlights the need of enunciate sensitive knowledge to the survival of our emotions and bodies in the theory of education, and it is from there that I put glitter and a Green handkerchief to the professor. According to this, I go through three movements. In the first one, I stand out the intention of contaminate the immaculate vision of the latinamerican pedagogist as a disintegration of the authorized knowledge of the pedagogy. In the second movement, I trace a series of narratives that decentralize the modern subject from the pedagogy, marking the queer intention of not knowing its evolutionist technology and unpredictable rationality. In the third movement I collect some lectures that valorize and question Paulo Freire’s work at the same time. Lastly, I argue - as a way of going against oneself - in support of a dislocation of the straight lectures of the critical pedagogy, a civic need that stands in front of the actual demand of a sexual education.
