Abstract

THIENGO, Lara Carlette  and  MARI, Cezar Luiz De. Reuni Digital and the conformation of an agenda for Brazilian higher education in the post-COVID-19 period. Sér.-Estud. [online]. 2023, vol.28, n.62, pp.193-214.  Epub May 23, 2023. ISSN 2318-1982.  https://doi.org/10.20435/serieestudos.v28i62.1770.

The objective of this text is to analyze the context and the Expansion Program of Distance Learning in Federal Universities (Reuni Digital), launched in April 2021 by the Ministry of Education, in Milton Ribeiro management. We also deal with the recommendations of the World Bank and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for higher education - from the context of the COVID-19 pandemic - with a focus on proposals for the intensification of “eaderization”. The methodology is based on historical-dialectical materialism, and the critical-interpretive approach, based on the analysis of documents from specialized literature, news, and interviews on websites and the press. We work with the assumption that the RD Program aims to reconfigure the IFES by platamorphizing higher education, producing a lack of distinction between the public and the private, and between the modalities of distance learning and face-to-face teaching.
