Abstract

PIOTTO, Débora  and  ALVES, Renata de Oliveira. Postgraduate students of working classes and their relationship with school knowledge. Sér.-Estud. [online]. 2023, vol.28, n.62, pp.305-323.  Epub May 23, 2023. ISSN 2318-1982.  https://doi.org/10.20435/serieestudos.v28i62.1526.

To understand the reasons for school success and failure in working classes, Bernard Charlot analyzed the relationships that students establish with the school and with knowledge, giving rise to the notion of relationship with knowledge. This article presents the results of a study that investigated the relationship with the knowledge of postgraduate students from working classes. In order to understand how this relationship was developed throughout their schooling trajectories, including undergraduate and graduate experiences. Interviews were conducted with five graduate students. The results indicate that the development of this relationship with knowledge was made possible by access to quality education and favorable conditions for study in certain moments of the students trajectories.

Keywords : relation with knowledge; post-university graduate; working classes.
