Dialogue about ethnic-racial relations is not yet a debate that we can consider closed, given the continuity of racist and discriminatory practices present in society. There are countless cases of individual and institutional racism that affect a large part of the Brazilian population. It is a fact that we have advanced, through the intensive action of black movements as well as the activism and agency of black men and women in favor of a society free from racism, discrimination and racial prejudice. Without intending to disregard the actions already emerging in the field of the fight against racism in the sphere of formal education, this article seeks to bring contributions and reflections within the scope of the potential of black autoethnographies, as an epistemological, theoretical and methodological path in favor of a blackened school curriculum and blackening. Thus, this text aims to bring notes on how we can use black autoethnographies as a reference in and for anti-racist education, placing student and teacher voices at the center in the construction of other possible paths that suit them, know them and recognize them.
