SOUZA, Luis Alberto de e LIMA, Norma Silvia Trindade de. Capoeira and art teaching: narratives and experiences for the Education of Ethnic-racial Relations at school. Sér.-Estud. This experience report mobilizes capoeira across the art curriculum, dialoguing with the respective artistic languages: music, dance, theater, visual arts and integrated arts. This is an excerpt from ongoing doctoral research, carried out in a public school in the Municipal Education Network, in the interior of São Paulo, with students from elementary school II, the final years of basic education, based on inclusive decolonial studies and research (auto)biographical narrative formation. It provisionally concludes that the curriculum as a relevant formative territory of dispute, still strongly colonial and Eurocentric, can be tensioned based on Afro-Brazilian cultural practices and their epistemes, contributing to the strengthening of Law 10.639/2003. In this study, capoeira combined with teaching experience allows us to problematize racism and other subordinate aspects of coloniality, relevant to a decolonizing and inclusive education, in order to guarantee the constitutional rights of all.
