This study analyzed the efficiency of educational assistance expenditures and its relation to success rates of federal public universities (UPF). The sample comprised 32 UPF, in the years 2008 to 2014, that were analyzed in two moments, first the Data Envelopment Analysis model was applied, and then the panel data regression. This study contributes to filling study gaps in several disciplines, for examples: Education, Public Accounting, and Public Administration.
