Abstract

OLIVEIRA, SONARA MARIA LOPES DE  and  PASCHOAL, JAQUELINE DELGADO. BASIC EDUCATION AS A LAW IN BRAZIL: AN ANALYSIS OF THE DETERMINATIONS AND PARADOXES OF LEGISLATION. Revista Brasileira de Política e Administração da Educação [online]. 2020, vol.36, n.3, pp.1176-1195.  Epub Jan 20, 2021. ISSN 2447-4193.  https://doi.org/10.21573/vol36n32020.99365.

The purpose of this bibliographic study is to discuss the obligation of school education in Brazil from the advances and mismatches of legal determinations. From the point of view of its realization, such expansion revealed a slow but progressive development, although this right is not accessible to all children, especially when considering the access, permanence, and quality of services provided. This is because, in many cases, there are: poor working conditions; absence of public policies; precariousness in teacher education, and performance.

Keywords : Obligatory; Rights; School Education.
