Abstract

MARTINS, ELISAMAR PEREIRA; VILLELA, GABRIEL MERLIM MORAES; GIORGI, MARIA CRISTINA  and  SAMPAIO, FABIO DE ALMEIDA. PRIORITIZING AN AREA IS NOT KILLING ANOTHER?: A DISCURSIVE ANALYSIS OF NECROPOLITICS IN FIELD OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH. Revista Brasileira de Política e Administração da Educação [online]. 2020, vol.36, n.3, pp.1273-1296.  Epub Jan 20, 2021. ISSN 2447-4193.  https://doi.org/10.21573/vol36n32020.101502.

Our article proposes a reflection about contemporary necropolitics in the educational and research field, from a discursive analysis of voices of the Ministry of Education in a news published by newspaper Estadão, in 2019. As a theoretical-methodological referential, an enunciative-based Discourse Analysis was adopted, from a construct of speech genres and language-intervention. Our analysis points out to the maintenance of an unequal and structurally racist social organization of distribution of higher education in the country.

Keywords : public policies of higher education; necropolitics; discourse analysis; language-intervention; racism.
