The aim was to investigate the influence of the transition to school clusters on the results of the AEE (Portuguese acronym for Schools External Evaluation) of two school organizations located in close geographical proximity. Considering the two AEE cycles already completed in Portugal (2006-2011 and 2011-2017), a documental analysis was carried out (4 AEE reports and 1 contradictory). The results reveal, among others, an improvement in the classification in the “Results” domain. The move to school clusters did not negatively influence the classifications obtained by each school organization.
