This study aims to analyse the intraorganizational relations of a public organization in the Amazon context. To this end, interviews were conducted with different actors to support the discussions. The interviews were analysed following the principles of Content Analysis. The results showed that human capital, beliefs, relationships, the organizational designer, among others, impact on the coordination and performance of organizational actions. It appears that to mitigate the negative factors, changes are needed in the coordination system, in the organizational design, in the structure of authority, responsibility, and specialization of the internal actors.
