Abstract

The profile of the state secretaries of education who assumed the role between January 2019 and April 2021 was investigated, from the perspective of the Sexual Division of Labour. Characteristics such as gender, age, marital status, parenthood, colour/race, education, work experience, and salaries were collected in digital media. The profile of the 27 secretaries (as) investigated was measured with other indicators of the teaching work and it was found the reproduction of the sexual division of labour in the management function of the State Departments of Education, connected to other social markers.
