Abstract

SILVAS, ITAMAR MENDES DA  and  GIOVEDI, VALTER MARTINS. The democratic regressiveness of BNCC. Revista Brasileira de Política e Administração da Educação [online]. 2022, vol.38, n.1, e114107.  Epub Mar 27, 2022. ISSN 2447-4193.  https://doi.org/10.21573/vol38n12022.114107.

This article consists of documentary analysis that highlights the disrespect to the Federal Constitution and to LDBEN/96 (Brazilian Educational Laws and Guidelines) carried out in the BNCC (National Common Core Curriculum). It is stated that the BNCC, as a normative document, imposes a single pedagogical and curriculum concept: pedagogy of competencies. In doing so, it disrespects the constitutional principles of the plurality of pedagogical concepts, the freedom to teach and learn, and the autonomy of schools in the construction of their pedagogical proposals.

Keywords : BNCC; Teaching freedom; Curriculum; Competencies; Democracy.
