Abstract

ROCHA, ALESSANDRO ROBERTO  and  GONCALVES, WELLINGTON. Influence of intrinsic and extrinsic factors for the public servants satisfaction in a federal higher education institution. Revista Brasileira de Política e Administração da Educação [online]. 2022, vol.38, n.1, e110703.  Epub Mar 27, 2022. ISSN 2447-4193.  https://doi.org/10.21573/vol38n12022.110703.

Public employees in federal Higher Education Institutions have realized the impact of restrictive measures imposed by the Brazilian government, which has reflected in the conditions of the work environment, as well as in the career of these professionals. Thus, public institutions managers end up taking on challenges that lead to the search for alternatives capable of mitigating results caused by discouragement and demotivation of servants. Given this context, the present study aimed to investigate intrinsic and extrinsic factors that, in the perception of employees, exert a greater influence on job satisfaction. The theoretical contribution, based on Herzberg’s Theory of two factors, associated with a survey, made it possible to obtain results to offer managers subsidies for the formulation of actions aimed at stimulating the workforce. The research unit comprised the advanced campus of a Federal University at Minas Gerais.
