Abstract

The article problematizes the teaching work in higher education in Brazil, from its reorganization during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is based on bibliographic and documentary research. It uses secondary sources, such as articles, documents from employers’ unions, union journalistic material, etc. As a result, it identifies trends and confirms the premise that the pandemic is operated - following the Shock Doctrine - as an opportunity for the expansion of distance education in the public and private sectors and has advanced in the harmful consequences for the work and health of teachers.
