Abstract

BRANCO, UYGUACIARA VELOSO CASTELO  and  JEZINE, EDINEIDE. Extension of access, by modality of courses. A georeferenced perspective. Revista Brasileira de Política e Administração da Educação [online]. 2022, vol.38, n.1, e122995.  Epub Oct 02, 2023. ISSN 2447-4193.  https://doi.org/10.21573/vol38n002022.122995.

The article aims to analyze the expansion of access, by modality (Teachers courses and Baccalaureate) and geographic region, in face-to-face courses in federal public universities, post-Reuni. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory, and analytical approach, based on quantitative data collected from the Statistical Synopsis of the Higher Education Census (MEC/INEP), discussed from the category of social prestige (BOURDIEU, 2011; 2015). The results show regional discrepancies, with a decrease in the offer and enrollment in Teachers courses and a growth in Baccalaureate.

Keywords : Higher Education; Baccalaureate; Teachers courses; Social prestige.
