Abstract

MAGALHAES, LUCIANO SANTOS  and  GARCIA, FABIANE MAIA. The new model of Capes scholarships grants: the HDI-M factor and the reflex for the graduate programs in education in the Amazon. Revista Brasileira de Política e Administração da Educação [online]. 2023, vol.39, n.1, e124610.  Epub Sep 25, 2023. ISSN 2447-4193.  https://doi.org/10.21573/vol39n12023.124610.

The text presents the first task of ongoing research on the graduate evaluation policy in the Amazon. We investigated the new format of distribution of Capes scholarships and their impacts on graduate programs in education (PPGEs) in the region. The research is documental and discusses it in light of the National Graduate Plan (PNPG) 2011-2020 as well as the acts that institute the model in progress. The HDI-M factor for granting scholarships is advantageous to PPGEs, but uncertain until it is contemplated in a PNPG and instituted as a permanent measure of Capes rather than annual concession ordinances.
