This article aims to identify the Reference High Schools in Espírito Santo, considering the Ideb of these units and educational indicators of context assessment. This is an exploratory and quantitative study, through the application of Data Envelopment Analysis. As a result, it was observed that the performance of the analyzed schools can be increased to 22.6% above their current levels, maintaining the same contextual characteristics. In addition, 18 units were identified, which can be assumed as references, most of them located in the central region of the state.
