Abstract

It seeks contributions from education professionals, students, and families in the elaboration of the Municipal Policy for Special Education in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, ES. It is based on Boaventura de Sousa Santos and is carried out through qualitative research, case study, document analysis, focus groups, and questionnaires, with data in a field diary, questionnaires, and audios. The results were: grounding the document in national regulations, reorganizing the pedagogical work with support networks, collaboration, a critical look at diagnoses, curriculum accessibility, and teacher training, among others.
