Motivated by studies and investigations that we have been developing in the field/movement of Mathematics Education in recent years, in this article, we intend to present a study methodologically based on the Systematic Literature Review that aims to raise and point out researches done in Mathematics Education that take philosophical constructs derived from Jürgen Habermas' writings as main theoretical reference, in order to offer an overview of how Habermas' contributions have reverberated in the field of Mathematics Education in research reports developed in Brazil. As a database, we took the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations in view of the nature of the works present there. In terms of results, it was possible to observe that the constructs World of Life and World of System (or System) are the most prevalent in the foundation of the researches raised and selected in this study.

Keywords : Mathematics Education; Habermas; Critical Theory of Society; Philosophy..
