Creativity is considered an important ability that contribute to the individual’s integral formation, is valued in the job market and induces scientific/technological progress. In the mathematical context, it is defined as the ability to generate multiple solutions to problems. The objective of the study was to reflect on the potential of creativity in Mathematics test items for structuring pedagogical work in Basic Education. For this, research that applied specific tests were analyzed, considering the structure of the items and its content, to order to verify its potential for developing mathematical creativity. By results, the potencial of the items analysed were discussed, above all, as instruments for pedagogical work organization for stimulating the critical and creative potential in Mathematics of students.
