The purpose of this article is to carry out an analysis of the structural crisis of capitalism and its relationship with the 2016 coup, the rise of Bolsonaro and the dismantling of educational policies as a means of commodification and privatization of public education in current times. In this sense, the issue of education under the Bolsonaro government can only be analyzed when it is understood from its material determinants and the correlation of forces present in the class struggle. Therefore, it is not a question of understanding it as an exclusive expression of the obscurantist propositions of the president in question, but from the point of view of class hatred, inherent to our historical and social formation of bourgeois rule, with its respective class fractions, which remain linked to an ideological basis, whose roots go back to the slavery and patriarchal past. The analyzes point to the links between the structural crisis of capital, the fascist propositions and the dismantling of education. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, in the light of historical and dialectical materialism, it is imperative to understand the rise of the reactionary and authoritarian discourse in recent years, the coup that overthrew President Dilma Rousseff and the actions in the field of education from that moment onwards. It concludes that there is an urgent need to mobilize those who identify with popular interests to strengthen public, universal and free education, as a trench space for the socialization of knowledge and the mobilization of workers.
