In this article, the objective is to analyze adherence to the Learning Program at the Right Age (Mais Paic) by Elementary School I teachers in three municipalities in Cariri, Ceará, through documents and/or guiding materials. The aim is to discuss the influence of neoliberal and managerial ideals on the program. Current studies indicate that these influences on education intend to divide the responsibilities of educational policies, that is, to propose a management model that values aspects such as efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and results, to the detriment of humanistic and cultural training. In the descriptive research, with a quantitative approach, it was theoretically based on Marxian scholars. The research brought the following results: that adherence occurs; the most used document is the DCRC (87.7%), and the majority of teachers who join the program are hired. As well as gaps for possible research, the focus of which will be to clarify what the quantitative research shows.
