SANTOS, Zenildo; SANT’ANA, Claudinei de Camargo  and  SANT’ANA, Irani Parolin. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND EDUCATION: AN ANALYSIS OF THESES AND DISSERTATION. Revista LES [online]. 2025, vol.29, n.59, 6108.  Epub June 13, 2025. ISSN 2526-8449.  https://doi.org/10.26694/rles.v29i59.6108.

This article is part of an ongoing postdoctoral research project that investigates teachers' perceptions of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and presents a systematic mapping of Brazilian theses and dissertations that have explored the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, aiming to identify the main trends and outcomes. Fifteen studies published between 2004 and 2023 in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) were analyzed. The analysis revealed a growing concern with the subject, highlighting advances in artifact testing and the development of educational materials using AI. However, a significant shortage of research focused on the application of AI in Basic Education was observed, particularly in relation to teacher training.
