Pesquisa qualitativa com enfoque etnográfico sobre o Movimento Estadual Pró-Educação (MEPE) aponta, incorporando as relações de gênero, aproximações e divergências entre as principais protagonistas dessas lutas: professoras e mães de alunos, destacando algumas das possíveis contribuições que a visão desses segmentos distintos - nem antagônicos, nem alidados incondicionais - podem trazer para a luta pela melhoria do ensino público.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Usually, during a first evaluation of the struggle for access and improvement in the quality of Public Schooling, we suppose that there is no disparity among those who fight for it. However, a qualitative research, from an ethnographic perspective, on the State Movement for Education (MEPE) reveals, incorporating gender relations, similaritiesand differences among the main characters of these struggles: teachers and students' mothers. Is also underlines some possible contributions that points of view of these different segments - neither opponents nor inconditional allies - may bring to the struggle for upgrading Public Schooling.]]></p></abstract>
