Os cursos vocacionais t&#234;m o objetivo de acolher alunos que manifestam constrangimentos com os estudos do ensino geral, privilegiando a aquisi&#231;&#227;o de conhecimentos em disciplinas estruturantes, assim como o primeiro contacto com diferentes atividades profissionais. No entanto, questionamos se estes alunos apresentam capacidades de resolu&#231;&#227;o de problemas e estrat&#233;gias de estudo diferentes comparativamente aos alunos do ensino regular. Tent&#225;mos, pois, perceber e analisar denominadores comuns e aspetos distintivos. Para recolha de informa&#231;&#227;o, utiliz&#225;mos o Teste IA - vers&#227;o reduzida das Matrizes Progressivas de Raven (AMARAL, 1966) e o LASSI - Invent&#225;rio de Estrat&#233;gias de Estudo e de Aprendizagem (LASSI, adaptado por FIGUEIRA, 1994), bem como a observa&#231;&#227;o participante em contexto de sala de aula.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract It intends to examine some possible differences in terms of study strategies and problem solving skills among elementary school students (classes in 9th grade), in Portugal, attending different ways of education: regular education and vocational education. The vocational courses in basic education has the goal of welcoming students who manifest constraints to the studies of general education, focusing on the acquisition of knowledge in structural disciplines, as well as the first contact with different vocational activities. However, we question whether these students present different levels of problem solving skills and study strategies in comparison with students in regular education. We tried, therefore, to perceive and analyze common denominators and distinctive aspects. The instruments that have been chosen were the IA Test - a reduced version of Raven's Progressive Matrices (AMARAL, 1966) and LASSI, Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI, by FIGUEIRA, 1994), as well as a participant observation in the classroom context.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Tenemos la intenci&#243;n de examinar las eventuales diferencias en las estrategias de estudio y de aprendizaje y la resoluci&#243;n de problemas en los estudiantes de la escuela primaria (clases de 9&#186; grado) en Portugal, en diferentes formas de educaci&#243;n: regular y profesional. Los cursos de formaci&#243;n profesional tiene como objetivo dar cabida a los estudiantes que manifiestan limitaciones en los estudios de educaci&#243;n general, se centran en la adquisici&#243;n de conocimientos en las disciplinas estructurales, as&#237; como el primer contacto con diferentes actividades profesionales. Sin embargo, nos preguntamos si estos estudiantes tienen habilidades para resolver problemas y diferentes estrategias de estudio en comparaci&#243;n con los estudiantes de educaci&#243;n regular. Tratamos, por lo tanto, percibir y analizar los denominadores comunes y aspectos distintivos.
