Nessa direção, investigamos se a personalidade e as emoções de realização experienciadas em um MOOC da área médica estão relacionadas à permanência e às notas dos estudantes. Questionários, análises de cluster e de regressão compuseram as especificações metodológicas. Os resultados dos questionários sobre emoções de realização tiveram confiabilidade baixa, não sendo possível chegar a uma conclusão sobre eles, e o questionário de traços de personalidade não indicou relação com as notas ou com a permanência. Os achados seguem a variabilidade de resultados na literatura, que não são unânimes ao afirmar correlações entre essas variáveis. As descobertas indicam que há outras variáveis mais relevantes ligadas à permanência e ao desempenho, que requerem instrumentos mais adequados para avaliar emoções de realização em MOOCs.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Two striking issues in massive and open online courses (MOOCs) are the difficulty in keeping students in the courses and the underperformance of some participants, which may be related to subjective factors. In this direction, we investigated whether personality and achievement emotions experienced in a medical MOOC are related to students' permanence and grades. Questionnaires, cluster and regression analyzes composed the methodological specifications. The results of the achievement emotions questionnaires had low reliability, and no conclusion could be drawn about them, and the personality traits questionnaire did not indicate a relationship with grades or permanence. The findings follow the variability of results in the literature, which are not unanimous in stating correlations between these variables. These findings indicate that there are other more relevant variables associated with permanence and performance, which require more suitable instruments to assess emotions of achievement in MOOCs.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Dos cuestiones destacadas en los cursos online masivos y abiertos (MOOCs) son la dificultad para mantener a los estudiantes en los cursos y el rendimiento insuficiente de algunos participantes, lo que puede estar relacionado con factores subjetivos. En esta dirección, investigamos si la personalidad y las emociones de logro experimentadas en un MOOC de medicina están relacionadas con la permanencia y las calificaciones de los estudiantes. Los cuestionarios y los análisis de conglomerados y de regresión componían las especificaciones metodológicas. Los resultados de los cuestionarios sobre las emociones de realización tuvieron baja confiabilidad, no siendo posible sacar una conclusión sobre ellos, y el cuestionario de trazos de personalidad no indicó relación con las notas o con la permanencia. Las conclusiones siguen la variabilidad de resultados en la literatura, que no son unánimes en afirmar las correlaciones entre estas variables. Los resultados indican que existen otras variables más relevantes vinculadas con la permanencia y el rendimiento, que requieren instrumentos más adecuados para evaluar las emociones de logro en los MOOC.]]></p></abstract>
