Foram analisados os dados do desempenho médio dos estudantes agrupados por área do conhecimento e ano de graduação. Como resultado, os estudantes de Bauru tiveram desempenho significativamente melhor que os demais nos dois anos do TP. Nas turmas do primeiro ano de 2018 e 2019, destacou-se o desempenho em Saúde Coletiva/Medicina de Família e Comunidade e, no segundo ano (2019), em todas as demais áreas, exceto a básica. Conclui-se que o currículo do novo curso de Medicina em Bauru, com diferentes metodologias ativas, oferece oportunidades pedagógicas e assistenciais de aplicação precoce e vivência prática dos conhecimentos, contribuindo para o bom desempenho obtido.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN El objetivo de este artículo es presentar la construcción del currículo del nuevo curso de Medicina de la Universidade de São Paulo (USP) en Bauru y el desempeño de sus estudiantes en el teste de progreso [test de progreso] (TP) de 2018 y 2019 con otros nueve cursos públicos. Se analizaron los datos sobre el desempeño promedio de los estu- diantes, agrupados por área de conocimiento y año de graduación. Como resultado, los estudiantes de Bauru obtuvieron un desempeño significativamente mejor que los demás en ambos años del TP. En las clases del primer año de 2018 y 2019, se destacó el desempeño en Salud Colectiva/Medicina Familiar y Comunitaria, y en el segundo año (2019), en todas las demás áreas, excepto la básica. Se concluye que el currículo del nuevo curso de Medicina en Bauru, con sus diversas metodologías activas, ofrece oportunidades pedagógicas y asistenciales de aplicación temprana y la vivencia práctica de los conocimientos, contribuyendo para el buen desempeño alcanzado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The objective of this article is to present the development of the curriculum of the new medical program at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in Bauru, and the performance of its students in the 2018 and 2019 progress tests (TP) compared to nine other public medical programs. Data on students&#8217; average performance grouped by knowledge area and year of graduation were analyzed. As a result, Bauru students performed significantly better than those from other institutions in both years of the TP. In the first-year classes of 2018 and 2019, their performance stood out in Public Health/Family and Community Medicine, and in the second year (2019), in all other areas except the basic one. It can be concluded that the curriculum of the new medical program in Bauru, with its diverse active learning methodologies, provides pedagogical and care opportunities for the early application and practical experience of knowledge, contributing to the strong performance obtained.]]></p></abstract>
