O material analisado consiste em artigos indexados que constam nos portais SciELO e CAPES até o ano de 2021. Foram encontradas 44 pesquisas sobre o tema, as quais foram analisadas à luz de seus discursos e de sua vinculação aos países nos quais tal cinema foi exibido e/ou produzido. Foram organizados, a partir de artigos analisados neste estudo, os principais delineamentos teóricos, temáticos e metodológicos apresentados pelas pesquisas encontradas e indexadas nos portais citados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article presents and analyzes the academic production on the LGBTQIA+ cinema in Brazil and in Latin American countries. The corpus consists of indexed articles found in SciELO and CAPES portals until 2021. We have found 44 research works in which the LGBTQIA+ cinema is studied and observed in the light of both its discourses and its connection to the countries in which the films on the theme have been screened and/or produced. Thus, considering the articles examined, the main theoretical, thematic and methodological outlines presented by such research works were organized.]]></p></abstract>
