Dentre esses objetivos, ressaltam-se os de número quatro e cinco, que propõem enfrentar, respectivamente, desafios na área da educação e na desigualdade de gênero. Este artigo busca estudar uma estratégia elaborada pela UNESCO - Organização das Nações Unidas para a Educação, a Ciência e a Cultura - que se alinha aos ODS nº 4 e 5, pois pressupõe a busca da igualdade de gênero na e por meio da educação. O artigo discute tal estratégia, problematizando-a no que diz respeito ao seu alinhamento a discursos neoliberais e neoconservadores. A estratégia, embora paute a igualdade de gênero, se aproxima de uma discussão do feminismo liberal ao não questionar a relação entre o capitalismo e a opressão das mulheres. Também abarca um modelo de educação vinculado à noção neoliberal de &#8220;capital humano&#8221; e de desenvolvimento econômico, valorizando o acesso das mulheres à ciência e ao mercado de trabalho a partir da educação e silenciando acerca de questões centrais como trabalho do cuidado e as especificidades estruturais do contexto de cada país, sobretudo no Sul Global, onde o racismo e a colonialidade ainda vigoram.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT In a context marked by social inequalities and environmental crisis, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are created based on a proposition of the United Nations (UN). Among these goals, particular emphasis is placed on numbers four and five, which respectively aim to address challenges in the areas of education and gender inequality. This article aims to study a strategy developed by UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - which aligns with SDGs number 4 and 5 as it presupposes the pursuit of gender equality in and through education. The article discusses that strategy, problematizing it regarding its alignment with neoliberal and neoconservative discourses. Although the strategy advocates for gender equality, it leans towards a discussion of liberal feminism by not questioning the relationship between capitalism and women&#8217;s oppression. It also encompasses an educational model linked to the neoliberal notion of &#8220;human capital&#8221; and economic development, valuing women&#8217;s access to science and the job market through education while remaining silent on central issues such as care work and the structural specificities of each country&#8217;s context, especially in the Global South where racism and coloniality still prevail.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN En un contexto de desigualdades sociales y crisis ambientales, los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) se crearon a partir de una propuesta de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU). Entre estos objetivos, se destacan el número cuatro y el número cinco, que proponen abordar retos en las áreas de educación y desigualdad de género, respectivamente. Este artículo pretende estudiar una estrategia elaborada por la UNESCO - Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura - que está alineada con los ODS 4 y 5, ya que presupone la búsqueda de la igualdad de género en y a través de la educación. El artículo analiza esta estrategia, problematizándola en términos de su alineación con discursos neoliberales y neoconservadores. Aunque la estrategia promueve la igualdad de género, se acerca a una discusión del feminismo liberal al no cuestionar la relación entre el capitalismo y la opresión de las mujeres. También adopta un modelo de educación conectado a la noción neoliberal de &#8220;capital humano&#8221; y desarrollo económico, valorizando el acceso de las mujeres a la ciencia y al mercado de trabajo a través de la educación y silenciando cuestiones centrales como el trabajo de cuidados y las especificidades estructurales del contexto de cada país, especialmente en el Sur Global, donde aún prevalecen el racismo y la colonialidad.]]></p></abstract>
