<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0104-70432015000100161&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0104-70432015000100161&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0104-70432015000100161&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[O presente artigo &#233; elaborado com base em reflex&#245;es tecidas ao longo de pesquisa de p&#243;s-doutoramento realizada com prostitutas que fazem parte de associa&#231;&#245;es da categoria localizadas nas cidades de Belo Horizonte (MG), Campina Grande (PB), Jo&#227;o Pessoa (PB) e Recife (PE), com intuito de desvelar processos educativos consolidados no exerc&#237;cio do trabalho sexual e na trajet&#243;ria de milit&#226;ncia dessas mulheres na busca por seus direitos. Com base no referencial da Educa&#231;&#227;o Popular, ao longo do percurso metodol&#243;gico desta investiga&#231;&#227;o buscamos - pesquisadora e prostitutas - identificar e analisar saberes de experi&#234;ncia constru&#237;dos nas a&#231;&#245;es educativas e culturais desenvolvidas por essas mulheres. Os resultados da investiga&#231;&#227;o engendram o entendimento de que o processo de organiza&#231;&#227;o de prostitutas em associa&#231;&#245;es tem sido relevante para fortalecer a leitura cr&#237;tica da realidade, possibilitando o desenvolvimento da autoestima e autoconfian&#231;a necess&#225;rias capazes de impulsion&#225;-las ao engajamento na busca por seus direitos. As a&#231;&#245;es educativas realizadas por essas mulheres funcionam como c&#237;rculos de cultura, nos quais elas v&#234;m apresentando seus anseios, sua est&#233;tica e afirmando sua condi&#231;&#227;o de sujeito.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article draws upon reflections that arose during post-doctoral research carried out with prostitutes belonging to occupational associations located in the cities of Belo Horizonte/MG, Campina Grande/PB, Jo&#227;o Pessoa/PB and Recife/PE. The aim of this research was to reveal educational processes that were consolidated while these women were engaged in their sexual profession and involved in militant activities in pursuit of their rights. Using the principles of Popular Education as a base for the methodological approach of this research, both researcher and prostitutes seek to identify and analyze the experiential knowledge acquired from the educational and cultural activities developed by these women. The results of this investigation lead to the understanding of how the process whereby prostitutes have organized themselves in associations has played an important role in strengthening the critical interpretation of reality, while fostering the development of self-esteem and self-confidence necessary for these women to be able and motivated to engage in the quest for their rights. Educational activities undertaken by these women function as cultural circles in which they reveal their anxieties and their aesthetics while asserting their subjectivity.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[El presente art&#237;culo reflexiona sobre la investigaci&#243;n postdoctoral realizada con prostitutas militantes que participan en asociaciones ubicadas en las ciudades de Belo Horizonte, Campina Grande, Jo&#227;o Pessoa y Recife, con el objetivo de conocer los procesos educativos consolidados en el ejercicio del trabajo sexual y en la militancia vivida por prostitutas en la b&#250;squeda de sus derechos. Con base en el marco de la Educaci&#243;n Popular, buscamos - pesquisadora y prostitutas - identificar y analizar saberes de experiencia desarrollados en las acciones educativas y culturales organizadas por estas mujeres. Los resultados de la investigaci&#243;n engendran la comprensi&#243;n de que el proceso de organizaci&#243;n de las prostitutas en las asociaciones ha sido relevante para fortalecer la visi&#243;n cr&#237;tica de la realidad, lo que permite el desarrollo de la autoestima y la autoconfianza necesarias para impulsarlas en la lucha por sus derechos. Las acciones educativas desarrolladas por prostitutas funcionan como c&#237;rculos de cultura en el que ellas han presentado sus preocupaciones, su est&#233;tica y han afirmado su condici&#243;n de sujeto.]]></p></abstract>
