Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar e descrever as adapta&#231;&#245;es nos elementos base do curr&#237;culo comum, empregadas por professores de Educa&#231;&#227;o F&#237;sica, voltadas &#224; participa&#231;&#227;o de estudantes com defici&#234;ncia visual. Sob a perspectiva qualitativa, trata-se de um estudo de campo desenvolvido em tr&#234;s escolas da rede regular de ensino em munic&#237;pio localizado no interior do estado de S&#227;o Paulo. A amostra foi constitu&#237;da por tr&#234;s professores de Educa&#231;&#227;o F&#237;sica que atuavam no ensino fundamental e quatro estudantes com defici&#234;ncia visual. Os dados foram coletados por meio das t&#233;cnicas de observa&#231;&#227;o sistem&#225;tica e entrevista semiestruturada. O tratamento dos dados foi baseado em an&#225;lise de conte&#250;do. Os resultados obtidos nessa pesquisa evidenciaram a escassez e at&#233; mesmo a inexist&#234;ncia de adapta&#231;&#245;es curriculares voltadas &#224;s necessidades dos estudantes com defici&#234;ncia visual nas aulas de Educa&#231;&#227;o F&#237;sica. Conclui-se que a aus&#234;ncia de adapta&#231;&#245;es curriculares nas aulas de Educa&#231;&#227;o F&#237;sica implica em barreiras de acesso e constitui em impedimento para o aproveitamento da aprendizagem por parte dos estudantes com defici&#234;ncia visual.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: As a compulsory curricular component of basic education, Physical Education should enable students with disabilities to access the mainstream curriculum. This research aims to analyze and describe the adaptations in the basic elements of the common curriculum, employed by Physical Education teachers, focused on the participation of students with visual impairments. Under a qualitative perspective, it is a field study developed in three schools of the regular school system in a city located in the State of S&#227;o Paulo. The sample consisted of three Physical Education teachers who worked in elementary schools and four students with visual impairements. The data were collected through systematic observation techniques and semi-structured interview. The data analysis was based on content analysis. The results obtained in this research showed the lack and even absence of curricular adaptations focusing the needs of the students with visual impairements in Physical Education classes. It is concluded that the absence of curricular adaptations in Physical Education classes implies access barriers and prevent students with visual impairements from learning.]]></p></abstract>
