Argumentamos que várias competências e habilidades apontadas estão relacionadas à linguagem e perpassam conhecimentos sobre formas textuais e práticas de leitura. Ao final, apontamos como a leitura aparece na Base Nacional Comum de Formação, publicada em 2019, que deve orientar os futuros cursos de formação inicial. Em tal documento, a leitura está proposta como uma competência a ser desenvolvida em uma perspectiva prescritiva e técnica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract We present possible interpretations on how the curriculum guidelines for Physics courses and the national curriculum guidelines for initial teacher education indicate reading for teacher training courses. We argue that several competencies and skills mentioned are related to language and permeate knowledge about textual forms and reading practices. In the end, we point out how reading appears in the National Common Training Base, published in 2019, which should guide future initial training courses. In this document, reading is proposed as a competence to be developed in a prescriptive and technical perspective.]]></p></abstract>
