Algumas reflex&#245;es s&#227;o tecidas no que tange &#224; pol&#237;tica educacional e lingu&#237;stica em escolas inclusivas bil&#237;ngues e, ainda, o desafio da manuten&#231;&#227;o de programas bil&#237;ngues que tomam a surdez pela centralidade da l&#237;ngua de sinais, como l&#237;ngua de instru&#231;&#227;o e de diferen&#231;a no ensino. O olhar se dar&#225; na a&#231;&#227;o de uma escola polo de um dos munic&#237;pios no interior do Estado de S&#227;o Paulo. Evidencia-se a urg&#234;ncia de mudan&#231;as para a composi&#231;&#227;o da diferen&#231;a surda no espa&#231;o escolar e, com isso, a necessidade de quebras de paradigmas, travando di&#225;logo entre as Secretarias de Educa&#231;&#227;o e os movimentos surdos. Como m&#233;todo de an&#225;lise utilizou-se um recorte da pesquisa em uma cena escolar a qual ser&#225; usada como alegoria da teoria apresentada, promovendo um adensamento nos construtos foucaultianos. Usou-se a perspectiva geneal&#243;gica de Michel Foucault que toma as rela&#231;&#245;es de poder como efeito de saberes os quais circunscrevem o espa&#231;o institucional escolar. O leitor &#233;, assim, convidado a desbravar algumas tens&#245;es presentes na perspectiva bil&#237;ngue a qual rompe radicalmente com o olhar da surdez a partir da defici&#234;ncia e convoca a escuta da diferen&#231;a na mais radical singularidade que a l&#237;ngua de sinais proporciona nos sujeitos surdos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This paper discusses the controversy over education of deaf children, especially in early childhood education in inclusive schools. Education and language policies in bilingual inclusive schools were considered based on an analysis of a school located in an inland city in the state of S&#227;o Paulo. It was evident the urgent need for changes to support the proper inclusion of deaf students at that school, which include breaking paradigms that prevent a dialogue between the government bodies associated with education, such as City or State Board of Education, and deaf education movements. The analysis was focused on a particular situation at the school that will be used to illustrate the theory presented, emphasizing Foucault's constructs. The genealogical perspective of Michel Foucault was used. The author believes that knowledge can be gained from power or that there is no power relation without the correlative constitution of a field of knowledge, which determines the school institutional space. Therefore, the reader is presented with new perspectives on bilingual education which dramatically change the perception of deafness as a disability and highlight the uniqueness of sign language and the considerable benefits it brings to deaf people.]]></p></abstract>
