Foi produzido ap&#243;s um lustro de estudos e reflex&#245;es interdisciplinares, desenvolvidos em programas de p&#243;s-gradua&#231;&#227;o. O objetivo principal deste trabalho &#233; elucidar quest&#245;es fundamentais a respeito do estado planet&#225;rio referido como crise ambiental, tratando especificamente do papel da educa&#231;&#227;o no enfrentamento desta crise. Aqui, apresentamos a ideia de que a percep&#231;&#227;o e a compreens&#227;o sobre o meio-ambiente encontram-se, paradoxalmente, segregadas em duas grandes vertentes distintas e contradit&#243;rias, que nomeamos aqui como "meio-ambiente sem par&#234;nteses" e "meio-ambiente entre par&#234;nteses". Ao final, espera-se compartilhar uma vis&#227;o qualificada sobre Educa&#231;&#227;o Ambiental enquanto dimens&#227;o hist&#243;rica, cr&#237;tica e transformadora do pr&#243;prio meio-ambiente, ao mesmo tempo em que se deseja motivar futuras pesquisas, ainda mais densas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This is paper is an essay about Environmental Education. It was produced after five years of interdisciplinary studies and reflections developed in graduate programs. The main objective of this work is to elucidate fundamental questions about the state referred to as planetary environmental crisis, specifically addressing the role of education towards this crisis. Here, we present the idea that the perception and understanding of the environment are paradoxically segregated into two distinct major and contradictory strands, which we name here as "environment without brackets" and "environment in brackets". At the end we hope to share a qualified view on Environmental Education as a historical, critical and transformative dimension of the very own environment, while we wish to motivate future and even more dense researches.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Este art&#237;culo es un ensayo sobre la Educaci&#243;n Ambiental. Fue producido despu&#233;s de cinco a&#241;os de estudios interdisciplinarios y reflexiones desarrolladas en os programas de postgrado. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es dilucidar cuestiones fundamentales sobre el estado referido como la crisis ambiental planetaria, abordando espec&#237;ficamente el papel de la educaci&#243;n frente a esta crisis. A continuaci&#243;n, presentamos la idea de que la percepci&#243;n y la comprensi&#243;n del medio ambiente son, parad&#243;jicamente, separados en dos cadenas distintas importantes y contradictorias, que nombramos aqu&#237; como "medio-ambiente sin par&#233;ntesis" y "medio-ambientes entre par&#233;ntesis". Al final, esperamos compartir una visi&#243;n calificada sobre Educaci&#243;n Ambiental como una dimensi&#243;n hist&#243;rica, cr&#237;tica y transformadora del propio medio-ambiente, mientras que deseamos motivar a investigaciones futuras, a&#250;n m&#225;s densas.]]></p></abstract>
