<self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1676-25922015000200234&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1676-25922015000200234&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://educa.fcc.org.br/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1676-25922015000200234&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[O intuito deste artigo &#233; refletir sobre a import&#226;ncia dos estudos etnogr&#225;ficos para compreender a institui&#231;&#227;o escolar, partindo da descri&#231;&#227;o e da an&#225;lise da metodologia de uma pesquisa de doutorado realizada numa escola p&#250;blica de educa&#231;&#227;o b&#225;sica (Campinas, S&#227;o Paulo). A pesquisa de doutorado propunha-se a problematizar como um programa da Secretaria da Educa&#231;&#227;o do Estado de S&#227;o Paulo - o Sistema de Prote&#231;&#227;o Escolar, que tem por objetivo amenizar as viol&#234;ncias nas escolas - desenvolveu-se na institui&#231;&#227;o estudada. Para isso, por meio da observa&#231;&#227;o e registro do cotidiano buscou-se, em especial, observar a inser&#231;&#227;o do principal representante desse programa na escola - o Professor Mediador Escolar e Comunit&#225;rio. Al&#233;m disso, era necess&#225;ria a aproxima&#231;&#227;o com a realidade a ser investigada e o conhecimento de diversos aspectos da comunidade atendida e dos sujeitos que constitu&#237;am essa institui&#231;&#227;o. Por meio desse estudo, constatou-se que, apesar do avan&#231;o da pesquisa educacional no Brasil, permanece a necessidade de se ampliar investiga&#231;&#245;es de cunho etnogr&#225;fico que contribuam para a compreens&#227;o desse cotidiano. A metodologia da pesquisa permitiu a observa&#231;&#227;o das rela&#231;&#245;es humanas, das juventudes na sua interface com a problem&#225;tica das viol&#234;ncias, das diferentes facetas de um sistema escolar e possibilitou que se ampliassem as an&#225;lises e se superasse uma poss&#237;vel vis&#227;o simplista em apontar solu&#231;&#245;es f&#225;ceis para as escolas p&#250;blicas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The purpose of this paper is to discuss the importance of ethnographic studies to comprehension the school institution, based on the description and analysis of the methodology of a doctoral research conducted in a public elementary school of basic education located in Campinas, Sao Paulo. The doctoral research proposed to problematize as a program of the Department of Education of S&#227;o Paulo - the School Protection System, which aims to ease the violence in schools - was developed in the institution studied. For this, from the observation and recording of everyday school life, was sought, in particular, observe the insertion of the main representative of this program in the school - the School and Community Moderator Teacher. Besides, it was necessary the approach with the reality being investigated and the knowledge of various aspects of the community served and the subjects that constituted the institution. Through research, it was found that despite the advancement of educational research in Brazil, there still remains a need to expand the ethnographic studies that contribute to the understanding of this everyday school life. The research methodology allowed the observation of human relations, of youths in its interface with the problem of violence, of the different facets of a school system, and made it possible to broaden the analyzes and overcome a naive vision that points easy solutions to the public schools.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[El prop&#243;sito de este art&#237;culo es discutir la importancia de los estudios etnogr&#225;ficos para entender la instituci&#243;n escolar, basada en la descripci&#243;n y an&#225;lisis de la metodolog&#237;a de una investigaci&#243;n doctoral realizada en una escuela p&#250;blica de educaci&#243;n b&#225;sica (Campinas - Sao Paulo). La investigaci&#243;n doctoral propone problematizar como un programa de la Secretaria de Educaci&#243;n de S&#227;o Paulo - Sistema de Protecci&#243;n Escolar, cuyo objetivo es minimizar la violencia en las escuelas - se desarrollo en la instituci&#243;n de la investigaci&#243;n. Para eso, a trav&#233;s de la observaci&#243;n y el registro diario, en particular, observar la inserci&#243;n del principal representante de este programa en la escolarizaci&#243;n - el Profesor Mediador Escolar y Comunitario. Adem&#225;s, era necesario el acercamiento de la realidad a ser investigada y el conocimiento de diversos aspectos de la comunidad servida y de los sujetos que constitu&#237;an la instituci&#243;n. A trav&#233;s de la investigaci&#243;n, se encontr&#243; que a pesar del avance de la investigaci&#243;n educativa en Brasil, sigue siendo la necesidad de ampliar los estudios etnogr&#225;ficos que contribuyen a la comprensi&#243;n de esto cotidiano. La metodolog&#237;a de la investigaci&#243;n permiti&#243; la observaci&#243;n de las relaciones humanas, de los j&#243;venes en su interfaz con el problema de la violencia, las diferentes facetas de un sistema escolar, y han permitido ampliar los an&#225;lisis y superar una posible mirada simplista en a presentar soluciones f&#225;ciles para las escuelas p&#250;blicas.]]></p></abstract>
