Para tanto, identificamos e sistematizamos diferentes abordagens dos estudos sobre as conexões entre cartografia e cinema, constituindo um arcabouço acerca do impulso de mapeamento e detalhando a abordagem de Castro (2015), que distingue as formas cartográficas ou expressões cinematográficas do impulso de mapeamento: panoramas, vistas aéreas e atlas. Selecionamos os três filmes nacionais mais citados como primeira menção por docentes participantes da pesquisa, de diferentes gêneros, a saber, &#8220;Central do Brasil&#8221;, &#8220;Encontro com Milton Santos: o mundo global visto do lado de cá&#8221; e &#8220;Ilha das Flores&#8221;, que foram analisados à luz das expressões cinematográficas do impulso de mapeamento. Concluímos que é possível que o impulso de mapeamento influencie as escolhas das obras a serem usadas por professores e professoras de Geografia em sala de aula, indicando a força da cultura visual da cartografia, o que pode induzir ao uso de imagens clichês que limitam os estudantes a pensar o espaço a partir de outras possibilidades.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This paper aims examine if the visual cartographic culture, present in the training of Geography teachers manifests itself in the choices of films used as imagery resources in Geography classes. Different approaches to studies on the connections between cartography and cinema were identified and systematized, constituting a framework about the mapping impulse and detailing Castro's approach (2015) that distinguishes cartographic forms or cinematographic expressions from the mapping impulse: panoramas, aerial views and atlas. Three of the most cited Brazilian films mentioned by teachers participating in the research, of different genres, namely, &#8220;Central do Brasil&#8221;, &#8220;Encontro com Milton Santos: o mundo global visto do lado de cá&#8221; and &#8220;Ilha das Flores&#8221;, were selected and analyzed under the light of the cinematographic expressions of the mapping impulse. We concluded that it is possible that the mapping impulse influences the choices of films to be used by Geography teachers in the classroom, indicating the strength of the visual culture of cartography, which may induce the use of cliché images that limit students to think about the space from other possibilities.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN En este texto buscamos pistas para comprender si la cultura cartográfica visual, presente en la formación de los profesores de Geografía de la escuela, se manifiesta en las elecciones de obras cinematográficas utilizadas como recursos de imagen en las clases de Geografía. Para tanto, identificamos y sistematizamos diferentes enfoques de estudios sobre las conexiones entre cartografía y cine, constituyendo un marco de referencia sobre el impulso cartográfico y detallando el enfoque de Castro (2015) que distingue las formas cartográficas o expresiones cinematográficas del impulso cartográfico: panoramas, las vistas aéreas y atlas. Seleccionamos las tres películas nacionales más citadas como primera mención de los profesores participantes en la investigación, de diferentes géneros, a saber, &#8220;Central do Brasil&#8221;, &#8220;Encontro com Milton Santos: o mundo global visto do lado de cá&#8221; e &#8220;Ilha das Flores&#8221;, que fueron analizadas a la luz de las expresiones cinematográficas del impulso cartográfico. Concluimos que es posible que el impulso de mapeo influya en la elección de las peliculas para utilización por los profesores de Geografía en el aula, lo que indica la fuerza de la cultura visual de la cartografía, que puede inducir al uso de imágenes cliché que limitan a los estudiantes a pensar el espacio de otras posibilidades.]]></p></abstract>
