As discussões apresentadas neste texto têm como base teórica os estudos de Skliar (2015, 2016), Quadros (1997, 2008, 2012), Stumpf e Martins (2017) e Strobel (2008). De natureza aplicada, a pesquisa foi realizada a partir dos conceitos da pesquisa participante, de abordagem qualitativa, com 19 professores de Química do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Santa Catarina que deram subsídio para o processo de elaboração, aplicação e validação do Glossário Acadêmico de Libras. Os resultados foram ao encontro de outras pesquisas, apontando a carência na formação acadêmica dos professores, a falta de recursos didáticos bilíngues (Libras/português) na área de ensino de Química, a escassez de termos específicos de Química em Libras resultando em estratégias de ensino de Química pouco eficazes para estudantes surdos e, a indicação da importância da elaboração de um glossário online. Nesse sentido, o Glossário Acadêmico de Química foi considerado um material de apoio didático bilíngue (Libras/português) para o ensino de Química para surdos por poder contribuir para os estudos de educação de surdos, nas estratégias de ensino de Química para surdos, na divulgação de termos específicos de Química e, o mais importante, elevar a qualidade da educação de surdos no Brasil.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article aims to present the discussions carried out in the process of elaborating, applying and evaluation the Academic Glossary of Libras. The discussions presented in this text are based on the theoretical studies of Skliar (2015, 2016), Quadros (1997, 2008, 2012), Stumpf (2001, 2008), Stumpf and Martins (2017) and Strobel (2008). Of an applied nature, the research was carried out based on the concepts of participatory research, with a qualitative approach, with 19 Chemistry professors from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina who provided support for the process of elaboration, application and validation of the Academic Glossary of Libras. The results were in line with other research, pointing to the lack of academic training of teachers, the lack of bilingual didactic resources (Libras / Portuguese) in the area of teaching Chemistry, the scarcity of specific terms of Chemistry in Libras resulting in teaching strategies of ineffective chemistry for deaf students and the indication of the importance of developing an online glossary. In this sense, the Academic Chemistry Glossary was considered a bi lingual didactic suporta material (Libras / Portuguese) for teaching Chemistry to the deaf that it can contribute to the education studies of the deaf, in the teaching strategies of Chemistry for the deaf, in dissemination of specific terms of Chemistry and, most importantly, raising the quality of education for the deaf in Brazil.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar las discusiones mantenidas en el proceso de elaboración, aplicación y evaluación del Glosario Académico de Libras. Las discusiones presentadas en este texto se basan en los estudios teóricos de Skliar (2015, 2016), Quadros (1997, 2008, 2012), Stumpf (2001, 2008), Stumpf y Martins (2017) y Strobel (2008). De naturaleza aplicada, la investigación se realizó sobre la base de los conceptos de investigación participativa, con un enfoque cualitativo, con 19 profesores de Química del Instituto Federal de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología de Santa Catarina que brindaron apoyo para el proceso de elaboración, aplicación y validación de Glosario Académico de Libras. Los resultados estuvieron en línea con otras investigaciones, señalando la falta de capacitación académica de los docentes, la falta de recursos didácticos bilingües (Libras / Portugués) en el área de enseñanza de Química, la escasez de términos específicos de Química en Libras que resultan en estrategias de enseñanza de química ineficaz para estudiantes sordos y la indicación de la importancia de desarrollar un glosario en línea. En este sentido, el Glosario Académico de Química se consideró un material didáctico de apoyo bilingüe (Libras / Portugués) para la enseñanza de Química para sordos que puede contribuir a los estudios de educación de sordos, en las estrategias de enseñanza de Química para sordos, en difusión de términos específicos de Química y, lo más importante, elevar la calidad de la educación para sordos en Brasil.]]></p></abstract>
