Para atingir o objetivo geral, utilizamos a abordagem qualiquantitativa, numa perspectiva dialética, e, para a construção dos dados, um questionário on-line. A fundamentação teórica reside na tessitura dos desafios apresentados ao Ensino Superior no contexto da cultura digital. Para a análise dos dados, nos apropriamos do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC), que resgata o pensamento de uma coletividade, elaborando um enunciado sobre determinado tema. De modo geral, observamos, a partir do discurso coletivo dos alunos, que há diversas razões para compreender porque as tecnologias nos aproximam do processo de EaD, como revela um dos achados da pesquisa sobre a utilização do Google Earth, a partir de uma abordagem geográfica da natureza.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study ponder on the approximations between digital technologies in the distance learning process of a degree course in Geography, in a private Higher Education Institution, located in the southern region of Brazil. To achieve the general objective, we used the qualitative and quantitative approach, in a dialectic perspective, and for the construction of the data was used an online questionnaire. The theoretical foundation lies in the weaving of the challenges presented to higher education in the context of digital culture. For the analysis of the data, we used the Discourse of the Collective Subject, which redeems the thought of a collective by elaborating a discourse on a given theme. In general, we observed, from the student&#8217;s collective discourse, that there are several reasons to understand why technologies bring us closer to the distance learning process, as revealed by one of the research findings on the use of Google Earth, from a geographical approach to nature.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este estudio presenta una reflexión sobre las aproximaciones entre las tecnologias digitales en el proceso de enseñanza a distancia de un curso de Licenciatura en Geografía, en una Instituición de Enseñanza Superior (IES) partícular, localizada en la región sur del país. Para alcanzar el objetivo general, utilizamos un enfoque qualitativo y quantitativo, en una perspectiva dialéctica, y para la construcción de los datos un cuestionario en línea. La base teórica radica en el tejido de los desafíos presentados a la educación superior en el contexto de la cultura digital. Para el análisis de los datos, utilizamos el Discurso Sujeto Colectivo (DSC), que rescata el pensamiento de un colectivo mediante la elaboración de un discurso sobre un tema determinado. En general, observamos, desde el discurso colectivo de los alumnos, que hay varias razones para entender por qué las tecnologías nos acercan al proceso de enseñanza a distancia, como lo revela uno de los hallazgos de la investigación sobre el uso de Google Earth, desde enfoque geográfico de la naturaleza.]]></p></abstract>
