Tendo como referência uma educação crítica e democrática que considere fundamental a participação efetiva do Surdo, são apresentadas referências bibliográficas que embasam as reflexões sobre a relevância de significar a diferença linguística, cultural e epistemológica da Comunidade Surda como garantia do direito de exigência digna do Sujeito Surdo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This Article aims to discuss how the Deaf Protagonism, considered central in the Curriculum, can contribute to the process of raising awareness of the Deaf Subject, breaking with the logic imposed by historical, cultural and political constructions. Taking as a reference a critical and democratic education that considers the effective participation of the Deaf as essential, bibliographical references are presented that support the reflections on the relevance of meaning the linguistic, cultural and epistemological difference of the Deaf Community as a guarantee of the Deaf Subject's right to a dignified demand.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo tiene como objetivo discutir cómo el Protagonismo Sordo, considerado central en el Currículo, puede contribuir al proceso de sensibilización del Sujeto Sordo, rompiendo con la lógica que imponen las construcciones históricas, culturales y políticas. Teniendo como referencia una educación crítica y democrática que considera fundamental la participación efectiva de las personas Sordas, se presentan referencias bibliográficas que sustentan las reflexiones sobre la relevancia de significar la diferencia, cultural y epistemológica de la Comunidad Sorda como garantía del derecho de la dignidad del Sujeto Sordo.]]></p></abstract>
