O texto problematiza aspectos da expans&#227;o de vagas na rede p&#250;blica de Educa&#231;&#227;o Infantil e prop&#245;e reflex&#245;es sobre a qualidade dos projetos pedag&#243;gicos desenvolvidos pelas institui&#231;&#245;es que atendem &#224;s crian&#231;as de zero a cinco anos e oito meses de idade. Esta pesquisa &#233; de natureza te&#243;rica e utiliza-se da revis&#227;o de literatura como principal procedimento metodol&#243;gico. Os resultados obtidos revelam a necessidade de que a expans&#227;o quantitativa da Educa&#231;&#227;o Infantil n&#227;o ocorra em preju&#237;zo de projetos pedag&#243;gicos de qualidade que dependem, dentre outras coisas, da participa&#231;&#227;o das crian&#231;as e das fam&#237;lias, de infraestrutura f&#237;sica adequada, da valoriza&#231;&#227;o dos profissionais mediante pagamento do piso salarial e da forma&#231;&#227;o compat&#237;vel conforme exig&#234;ncias expressas na legisla&#231;&#227;o brasileira.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper is part of a broader research project on public policies geared towards childhood education, teacher training projects and epistemological assumptions for, with and about child and childhood. This text discusses aspects of the expansion of the number of public sector primary education places and reflects on the quality of the educational projects run by the institutions that serve children aged from zero to five years and eight months old. This research is of theoretical nature and uses a review of the literature as the main methodological procedure. The results obtained reveal that the need for the quantitative expansion of early childhood education does not occur at the expense of educational quality projects that depend, among other things, on the participation of children and families, adequate physical infrastructure and the appreciation of professionals through the payment of the wage floor and training according to the requirements set out in the Brazilian legislation.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[El trabajo forma parte de una investigaci&#243;n m&#225;s amplia sobre pol&#237;ticas p&#250;blicas dirigidas a la educaci&#243;n infantil, proyectos de formaci&#243;n de profesores y presuposiciones epistemol&#243;gicas de las investigaciones para, con y sobre ni&#241;os e infancia. El texto problematiza aspectos de la expansi&#243;n de plazas en la red p&#250;blica de educaci&#243;n infantil y plantea reflexiones sobre la calidad de los proyectos educativos desarrollados por las instituciones que atienden a los ni&#241;os de cero a cinco a&#241;os y ocho meses de edad. La investigaci&#243;n es de naturaleza te&#243;rica y utiliza la revisi&#243;n de literatura como principal procedimiento metodol&#243;gico. Los resultados obtenidos revelan la necesidad de que la expansi&#243;n cuantitativa de la educaci&#243;n infantil no ocurra en perjuicio de proyectos pedag&#243;gicos de calidad que dependen, entre otras cosas, de la participaci&#243;n de los ni&#241;os y de las familias, de infraestructura f&#237;sica adecuada, de la valoraci&#243;n de los profesionales mediante pago del piso salarial y de la formaci&#243;n compatible conforme exigencias expresadas en la legislaci&#243;n brasile&#241;a.]]></p></abstract>
