Diante disso, o presente artigo tem como objetivo identificar o tratamento dado &#224;s diferen&#231;as por algumas das propostas mais relevantes na &#225;rea da Educa&#231;&#227;o F&#237;sica. Foram analisadas tr&#234;s obras brasileiras que reconhecidamente influenciaram na dissemina&#231;&#227;o dos curr&#237;culos psicomotor (FREIRE, 1989), desenvolvimentista (TANI et al., 1988) e cr&#237;tico-superador (SOARES et al.,1992). Os resultados revelam uma perspectiva conservadora baseada a. na assimila&#231;&#227;o das diferen&#231;as ou b. na apropria&#231;&#227;o human&#237;stica, respaldada na cren&#231;a do princ&#237;pio de igualdade independentemente de quest&#245;es de etnia, g&#234;nero ou sexualidade. A conclus&#227;o &#233; de que, em ambos os casos, o que se busca &#233; integrar os diferentes grupos culturais &#224; cultura dominante para que todos possam competir em grau de igualdade na sociedade capitalista moderna.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Difference, as cultural identity, appears as an urgent demand in the curricula for all school subjects. Therefore, this paper aims at identifying the treatment given to differences by some of the most relevant proposals in the physical education area. Three Brazilian works were analyzed for having influenced the dissemination of psychomotor (FREIRE, 1989), developmental (TANI et al., 1988) and critical-overcoming (SOARES et al.,1992) curricula. The results revealed a conservative perspective based (a) on the assimilation of differences or (b) on the humanistic appropriation supported by the belief of the equality principle disregarding issues such as ethnicity, genre or sexuality. The conclusion is that, in both cases, integrating the different cultural groups to the dominant culture is sought so that everybody can compete as equals in the modern capitalist society.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: La diferencia en el sentido de la identidad cultural, surge como una demanda urgente en los curr&#237;culos de todas las disciplinas. Por lo tanto, este art&#237;culo tiene como objetivo identificar el tratamiento de las diferencias en algunas de las propuestas m&#225;s relevantes en el &#225;rea de la Educaci&#243;n F&#237;sica. Se analizaron tres obras brasile&#241;as que influyeron en la propagaci&#243;n de los planes de estudio psicomotor (FREIRE, 1989), de desarrollo (TANI et al., 1988) y cr&#237;tico-superaci&#243;n (Soares et al., 1992). Los resultados revelan un enfoque conservador basado a. la asimilaci&#243;n de las diferencias o b. la propiedad human&#237;stica, con el apoyo de la creencia del principio de igualdad con independencia de las cuestiones &#233;tnicas, de g&#233;nero o la sexualidad. La conclusi&#243;n es que, en ambos casos, lo que se busca es la integraci&#243;n de los diferentes grupos culturales a la cultura dominante para que todos puedan competir en pie de igualdad en la sociedad capitalista moderna.]]></p></abstract>
