Os dados emp&#237;ricos foram obtidos por meio de observa&#231;&#227;o das classes de primeiro ano, entrevista com suas educadoras e an&#225;lise do Projeto Pedag&#243;gico. E os resultados revelaram que as medidas adotadas foram diferentes no que diz respeito ao ambiente f&#237;sico e social dos novos primeiros anos, &#224; metodologia de ensino, &#224; rela&#231;&#227;o professor-aluno, &#224; sele&#231;&#227;o do docente, &#224; sua forma&#231;&#227;o continuada e &#224; considera&#231;&#227;o da crian&#231;a em sua singularidade. O que demonstrou duas realidades educacionais diametralmente opostas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents information about a research conducted in two Basic Education schools in the city of S&#227;o Paulo, one public and another private, in 2011, which aimed at analysing and verifying if the implementing process of the Nine-year Basic Education System - Law 11.114/05 - has respected the specific features of children between 5 and 6 years of age, postulated by authors such as Piaget, Vygotsky and Wallon. The empirical data was collected through the observation of 1st grade lessons, interviews with the pupils' educators and an analysis of the Pedagogic Project. The results have shown that the steps taken were different in what concerns the physical and social environment of the new first grades, the teaching methodology, the relationship teacher-student, the teacher selection, the continuing education of teachers and the approach to the children in their uniquiness, thus revealing two diametrically opposed educational realities.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este art&#237;culo informa sobre las investigaciones llevadas a cabo en dos escuelas primarias, una p&#250;blica y una privada en la ciudad de S&#227;o Paulo, en 2011, con el fin de verificar que el proceso de implementaci&#243;n de la educaci&#243;n nueve a&#241;os - Ley 11.114/05 - respecto las caracter&#237;sticas del ni&#241;o de 5 o 6 a&#241;os, postulados por autores como Vygotsky y Wallon. Los datos emp&#237;ricos fueron obtenidos a trav&#233;s de la observaci&#243;n del primer a&#241;o de clases, entrevista con los profesores locales y an&#225;lisis del Programa de Educaci&#243;n. Los resultados revelaron que las medidas adoptadas eran diferentes con respecto al entorno f&#237;sico y social de los nuevos primeros a&#241;os, la metodolog&#237;a de la ense&#241;anza, la relaci&#243;n profesor-alumno, la selecci&#243;n de los profesores, su educaci&#243;n continua y la consideraci&#243;n del ni&#241;o en su singularidad, que mostr&#243; dos realidades educativas diametralmente opuestas.]]></p></abstract>
