Dentre as estrat&#233;gias metodol&#243;gicas que este projeto de pesquisa lan&#231;a m&#227;o, aqui se privilegiam epis&#243;dios registrados em di&#225;rio de campo, fruto da observa&#231;&#227;o direta das intera&#231;&#245;es de um aluno regular do nono ano do ensino fundamental de escola p&#250;blica da Grande Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Os conceitos de g&#234;nero, masculinidade, escola e curr&#237;culo s&#227;o centrais na discuss&#227;o que se pretende estabelecer, toda elaborada a partir das cenas observadas, que podem ser alegoricamente representadas por um bon&#233; com uma folha bordada que lhe serve de enfeite. Os embates entre produzir-se homem, ser bom aluno, cumprir as exig&#234;ncias curriculares, viver sua cultura juvenil, ocupar-se com a prepara&#231;&#227;o para o futuro, atender aos planos familiares, ser compreendido pelos professores, constituem o terreno pelo qual a trajet&#243;ria do aluno se desenrola.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article is part of an investigation which accompanies boys and girls trajectories at schools, analyzing the implications between curricular dispositions and masculinities productions, with repercussions on school performance. Among vary methodological strategies considered by this research project; episodes registered in field diary are privileged. It is the product of direct observation of the interactions of a regular student in the ninth grade of Elementary School of a public school located in a town in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. The concepts of gender, masculinity, school and curriculum are central for this discussion, which intends to be established, being done from observed scenes, allegorically represented by a cap with a cannabis leaf as its ornament. The confrontations between constructing as a man, being a good student, fulfill the curricular demands, living his juvenile culture, occupying himself with his preparation for the future, honoring his familiar plans, being understood - or not - by the teachers, composes the field through which the trajectory of the student, here called Diego, unfurls.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este art&#237;culo es parte de una investigaci&#243;n que acompa&#241;a trayectorias de muchachos en escuelas publicas, haciendo el an&#225;lisis de las implicaciones de las disposiciones curriculares y la producci&#243;n de la masculinidad que afectan el rendimiento escolar. Entre las muchas estrategias metodol&#243;gicas que este proyecto de investigaci&#243;n hace uso, aqu&#237; se presentan episodios registrados en un diario de campo, el resultado de la observaci&#243;n directa de las interacciones de un estudiante regular de la nona etapa en la escuela primaria en un municipio cerca de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. El concepto de g&#233;nero, la masculinidad, y el curr&#237;culo de la escuela son fundamentales para la discusi&#243;n que se establece, aleg&#243;ricamente representada por una gorra con una hoja de bordado que sirve como guarnici&#243;n. Los enfrentamientos entre la producci&#243;n como hombre, como un buen estudiante, para cumplir con los requisitos del plan de estudios, vivir su cultura juvenil, la preocupaci&#243;n o no con la preparaci&#243;n para el futuro, para que se cumplan los planes de la familia y para hacer se entendier por los profesores constituyen el terreno en que la trayectoria del alumno, aqu&#237; llamado Diego, se desarrolla.]]></p></abstract>
