Apresenta ainda um paralelo temporal entre as trajetórias da educação matemática e da educação de surdos para, assim, refletirmos sobre os equívocos e os avanços alcançados. Para alcançar esse objetivo foi realizada uma análise bibliográfica, para então apresentar, em ordem cronológica, diversas alterações sofridas através do tempo que nos trouxeram até este momento da educação de surdos e da educação matemática, momento marcado, principalmente, pelas recentes políticas públicas que surgiram desde o fim do século XX e que referem-se à surdez, à Língua Brasileira de Sinais - Libras - e ao ensino de matemática.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This paper presents a historical overview of the deaf education and the mathematics teaching in Brazil since the Portuguese colonization to the current context, through the different ways of seeing mathematics in the educational field and the different approaches already used in the deaf education. It also presents a temporal parallel between the trajectories of mathematics education and the deaf education so as to reflect on the misunderstandings and the advances made. In order to achieve this objective, a bibliographical analysis was carried out, in order to present, in chronological order, several changes suffered through the time that have brought us up to this point in the deaf education and mathematics education, a moment marked, mainly, by the recent public policies that arose since the end of the 20th century and refer to deafness, to the Brazilian Language of Signals - Libras - and to the mathematics teaching.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Este estudio presenta un panorama histórico de la educación de sordos y de la enseñanza de las matemáticas en Brasil desde los tiempos de la colonización portuguesa hasta el contexto actual, mirando diversas maneras de ver las matemáticas en el campo educacional y por los diferentes abordajes ya utilizados en la educación de sordos. Presenta aún un paralelo temporal entre las trayectorias de la educación matemática y de la educación de sordos para, así, reflexionar sobre los equívocos y los avances logrados. Para lograr ese objetivo hemos realizado un análisis bibliográfico para, entonces, presentar en orden cronológica, diversos cambios ocurridos a través del tiempo que nos trajeran hasta este momento de la educación de sordos y de la educación matemática, momento marcado, principalmente, por las recientes políticas públicas que surgieron desde los fines del siglo XX y que se refieren a la sordez, a la Lengua Brasileña de Señales - Libras - y a la enseñanza de las matemáticas.]]></p></abstract>
