Para tanto, discute-se a centralidade da gestão, enfatizando o contexto educacional; posteriormente, discorre-se sobre o papel da avaliação para a governança, em um cenário marcado pelo uso de dados, algoritmos, plataformas digitais e, consequentemente, sobre o que Srnicek (2017) denomina capitalismo de plataforma. Em seguida, explicita-se a materialização da influência da avaliação para o avanço da governança educacional. Esta análise é baseada em uma abordagem histórica e sociológica crítica, por isso se recorre, de modo particular, aos estudos de Nick Srnicek (2017) sobre capitalismo de plataforma para fundamentar o entendimento de que a política de avaliação da educação básica brasileira tem contribuído para a efetivação da governança algorítmica, favorecendo o mercado e a sua expansão.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This article aims to analyze the influence of basic education evaluation policies on educational governance. To this end, the centrality of management is discussed, emphasizing the educational context; subsequently, the role of evaluation for governance is discussed, in a scenario marked by the use of data, algorithms, digital platforms and, consequently, what Srnicek (2017) calls platform capitalism. Next, the materialization of the influence of evaluation on the advancement of educational governance is explained. This analysis is based on a critical historical and sociological approach and, in particular, uses Nick Srnicek's (2017) studies on platform capitalism to support the understanding that the evaluation policy of Brazilian basic education has contributed to the implementation of algorithmic governance, favoring the market and its expansion.]]></p></abstract>
