Para a realização da pesquisa que sustenta este texto, foi aplicado questionário com dados sociodemográficos, realizadas entrevistas narrativas e utilizado o diário de campo. As informações produzidas foram interpretadas mediante a análise narrativa. Os resultados indicam que as necessidades laborais impulsionam a escolarização na idade adulta. Embora as estudantes relatem dificuldades de aprendizagem, a inserção na modalidade possibilita adquirir conhecimentos para manejar trocas financeiras e transitar pela cidade. A convivência no espaço escolar propicia o estabelecimento da rede de apoio social, mas também emergem dificuldades de interação com estudantes mais jovens. A decisão de vinculação à escola representa um ato subversivo e de resistência, conferindo o sentimento de ter vencido na vida. Contudo, ainda persistem alguns entraves para que a educação seja libertadora na vida dessas pessoas e da sociedade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of this article is at analyzing trajectories of women of and in YAE in the light of categories of limit-situations, viable-unprecedented and awareness in Paulo Freire. To carry out the research that supports this text, a questionnaire with sociodemographic data was applied, narrative interviews were carried out and a field diary was used. Information produced was interpreted through narrative analysis. Results indicate that labor needs drive schooling in adulthood. Although the students report learning difficulties, entering the modality allows them to acquire knowledge to manage financial exchanges and move around the city. Coexistence in the school space provides the establishment of a social support network, but difficulties in interacting with younger students also emerge. The decision to link to the school represents a subversive and resistant act, giving the feeling of having won in life. However, there are still some obstacles for education to be liberating in the lives of these people and society.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo de este artículo es analizar las trayectorias de mujeres de y en EJA bajo la luz de las categorías de situaciones-límite, inédito-viables y conciencia en Paulo Freire. Para realizar la investigación que sustenta este texto, se aplicó un cuestionario con datos sociodemográficos, se realizaron entrevistas narrativas y se utilizó un diario de campo. La información producida se interpretó mediante análisis narrativo. Los resultados indican que las necesidades laborales impulsan la escolarización en la edad adulta. Si bien las estudiantes reportan dificultades de aprendizaje, ingresar a la modalidad les permite adquirir conocimientos para gestionar intercambios financieros y moverse por la ciudad. La convivencia en el espacio escolar proporciona el establecimiento de una red de apoyo social, pero también surgen dificultades para interactuar con estudiantes más jóvenes. La decisión de vincularse a la escuela representa un acto subversivo y resistente, dando la sensación de haber ganado en la vida. Sin embargo, aún existen algunos obstáculos para que la educación sea liberadora en la vida de estas personas y en la sociedad.]]></p></abstract>
