O "estado da arte" das pesquisas brasileiras envolvendo juventude, m&#250;sica e escola (ARROYO, 2009; MIRANDA; SILVA, 2013); a legaliza&#231;&#227;o do ensino de m&#250;sica como conte&#250;do obrigat&#243;rio para a educa&#231;&#227;o b&#225;sica (Lei 11.769/08); e o Projeto de Resolu&#231;&#227;o (CNE/CEB, 2013), que prop&#245;e a institucionaliza&#231;&#227;o da m&#250;sica como disciplina curricular obrigat&#243;ria, indicam a necessidade de sistematiza&#231;&#227;o de propostas de educa&#231;&#227;o musical para a juventude. A partir da perspectiva sociol&#243;gica da Pedagogia Musical (GREEN, A-M., 1987; PIATTI, 1994; KRAEMER, 2000), que compreende as rela&#231;&#245;es simb&#243;licas que os jovens mant&#234;m com as suas escolhas musicais como o objetivo central para uma proposta de ensino e aprendizagem na escola regular, a perspectiva de media&#231;&#227;o das escutas musicais (GREEN, 1997) &#233; sugerida como uma possibilidade para as aulas de m&#250;sica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper reflects upon the meanings of music classes for the final years of primary and secondary schools. The "state of the art" of Brazilian researches involving youth; music and school (ARROYO, 2009; MIRANDA and SILVA, 2013); the legalization of music education as a mandatory content for basic education (Law 11.769/08); and the Project Resolution (CNE/CEB, 2013), that suggests the institutionalization of music as a compulsory curriculum subject, indicate the need to systematize proposals for music education for the youth. From the sociological perspective of Musical Pedagogy (GREEN, A-M., 1987; PIATTI, 1994; KRAEMER, 2000), that comprises the symbolic relationships young people have with their musical choices as the main objective for teaching and learning in regular schools, the perspective of mediation of musical listenning (GREEN, 1997; HENNION, 2003) is suggested as a possibility for music classes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Ese art&#237;culo propone reflexiones acerca de los significados de la clase de m&#250;sica en los &#250;ltimos a&#241;os de la educaci&#243;n primaria y secundaria. El "estado del arte" de la investigaci&#243;n brasile&#241;a involucrando las tem&#225;ticas juventud, m&#250;sica y escuela (ARROYO, 2009; MIRANDA y SILVA, 2013), la legalizaci&#243;n de la m&#250;sica como contenido obligatorio para la educaci&#243;n b&#225;sica (Ley 11.769/08) y el Proyecto de Resoluci&#243;n (CNE/CEB, 2013) que propone la institucionalizaci&#243;n de la m&#250;sica como asignatura curricular obligatoria, apuntan para la necesidad de sistematizar las propuestas de la educaci&#243;n musical para los j&#243;venes. A partir de la perspectiva sociol&#243;gica de la Pedagog&#237;a Musical (GREEN, A-M., 1987; PIATTI, 1994; KRAEMER, 2000), que comprende las relaciones simb&#243;licas que los j&#243;venes tienen con sus elecciones musicales como el objetivo principal de la ense&#241;anza en el contexto de la escuela, presento el concepto de escuchas musicales de mediaci&#243;n (GREEN, 1997) como una posibilidad para la clase de m&#250;sica.]]></p></abstract>
