O objetivo foi o de analisar, nas escolas no campo, os aspectos associados ao baixo &#205;ndice de Desenvolvimento da Educa&#231;&#227;o B&#225;sica (IDEB). Tiveram-se como centralidade os dados oficiais e as dez escolas p&#250;blicas de menor IDEB. O que socializamos &#233; a pesquisa realizada no n&#250;cleo do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (RS). A abordagem te&#243;rico-metodol&#243;gica &#233; vinculada ao Materialismo Hist&#243;rico Dial&#233;tico, com An&#225;lise de Conte&#250;do. S&#227;o explicitadas e analisadas as problem&#225;ticas relacionadas ao baixo IDEB pelas escolas no campo e indicados aspectos a serem considerados na avalia&#231;&#227;o da educa&#231;&#227;o pelo IDEB. Concluiu-se que as escolas, embora n&#227;o se posicionem contrariamente ao IDEB, indicam a necessidade de sua democratiza&#231;&#227;o.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article is part of the research study performed in the South Region of Brazil, in a center in a network connected to the Observatory of Education. The study aimed to analyze, in rural schools, the aspects associated with the low Basic Education Development Index (IDEB - &#205;ndice de Desenvolvimento da Educa&#231;&#227;o B&#225;sica). The main focus was the official data and the ten public schools with the lowest IDEB. What we socialized is the study performed by the center in the State of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). The theoretical-methodological approach is connected to the Dialectic Historical Materialism, with an Analysis of Content. The problems related to low IDEB are spelled out and analyzed by the rural schools and aspects to be considered in the evaluation of education by the IDEB are indicated. It was concluded that, although the schools do not take a position contrary to the IDEB, they point out the need for democratization.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Este art&#237;culo integra la investigaci&#243;n realizada en la Regi&#243;n Sur de Brasil, n&#250;cleo en red, vinculada al Observatorio de la Educaci&#243;n. El objetivo fue el de analizar, en las escuelas del campo, los aspectos asociados al bajo &#205;ndice de Desarrollo de la Educaci&#243;n B&#225;sica (IDEB). Se tomaron como centralidad los datos oficiales y las diez escuelas p&#250;blicas de menor IDEB. Lo que socializamos es la investigaci&#243;n realizada en el n&#250;cleo del Estado de Rio Grande do Sul (RS). El enfoque te&#243;rico-metodol&#243;gico est&#225; vinculado al Materialismo Hist&#243;rico Dial&#233;ctico, con An&#225;lisis de Contenido. Se explican y analizan las problem&#225;ticas relacionadas al bajo IDEB por las escuelas en el campo e indicados aspectos a considerar en la evaluaci&#243;n de la educaci&#243;n por el IDEB.
