O texto encontra-se dividido em duas partes: na primeira, busca-se refletir sobre algumas concepções de infância e se destaca a criança como um ser ativo e participante em seus contextos sociais. Na segunda parte do texto faz-se uma reflexão sobre a técnica e a maneira contraditória com que ela se insere nesta sociedade e se implica na formação humana desde muito cedo, se tornando uma questão para a educação, já que ela pode significar também um elemento que lhe impõe barreiras. Ao final é possível considerar com mais clareza os limites entre proteção e liberdade de crianças e adolescentes quanto ao uso da internet e a importância do educador desenvolver o debate sobre esses elementos no âmbito escolar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This article debates on the needs and limits of protection and freedom of children and adolescents concerning the use of the internet, highlighting some negative and positive aspectives of this use, considering also the respect for their rights. The text is divided into two parts: first, it aims to to brings some reflections on some conceptions of childhood and it highlights the child as active and participating in their social context. Second, it brings a reflection on the technique and the contradictory way that it is located in this society and it is imbricated in the human formation from early years, turning this a question for education, as it can also mean an element that presents obstacles. At the end it is possible to clearer consider the limits between protection and freedom of children and adolecents&#8217; use of internet and the importance of the educator in developing the debate about these elements in the school.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Este artículo discute la necesidad y los límites de la protección y de la libertad de niños y adolescentes cuanto al uso de la internet, destacando algunos aspectos negativos y positivos de dicho uso, considerando también el respecto a sus derechos. El texto se encuentra dividido en dos partes: en la primera, se busca reflexionar sobre algunas concepciones de infancia y se destaca el niño como un ser activo y participante en sus contextos sociales. En una segunda parte del texto se hace una reflexión sobre la técnica y la manera contradictoria con la cual se inserta en esta sociedad y se implica en la formación humana desde mucho temprano, tornándose una cuestión para la educación, ya que puede significar también un elemento que se le impone barreras. Al final es posible considerar con más claridad los límites entre protección y libertad de niños y adolescentes cuanto al uso de la internet y la importancia del educador desarrollas el debate sobre esos elementos en el ámbito escolar.]]></p></abstract>
