A pesquisa ex-post-facto teve uma abordagem quantitativa com base na aplicação de um questionário e de testes psicológicos, envolvendo 91 alunos com idade média de 11,6 anos. Os resultados revelaram que 96,8% dos participantes jogam e que 47,3% deles jogam de 1 a 2 horas por dia. Em relação à mediação parental, 74,16% dos pais controlam o tempo de acesso. A análise da relação entre a faixa de tempo e o desempenho dos tipos de atenção revelou que as crianças jogam de 1 a 2 horas por dia têm melhor desempenho da atenção concentrada, e aquelas que jogam entre 2 e 6 horas demonstram melhor desempenho da atenção dividida, porém sem revelar uma diferença estatisticamente significativa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This work aims to characterize the children&#8217;s behavior related to interaction with digital games, including parental mediations and verification of the influence of access time on attention performance. The ex-post-fact research had a quantitative approach based on applying a questionnaire and psychological tests involving 91 students with an average age of 11.6 years. The results revealed that 96.8% of the participants play digital games and that 47.3% play for 1 to 2 hours. Regarding parental mediation, 74.16% of parents control access time. The analysis of the relationship between the time range and the performance of the types of attention revealed that children who play 1 to 2 hours a day have better attention-focused performance, and those who play between 2 and 6 hours show better-divided attention performance, but without revealing a statistically significant difference.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este trabajo tiene como objetivo caracterizar los comportamientos de los niños relacionados con la interacción con los juegos digitales, incluyendo las mediaciones parentales y la verificación de la influencia del tiempo de acceso en el rendimiento de la atención. La investigación ex-post-facto tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo basado en la aplicación de un cuestionario y pruebas psicológicas, con la participación de 91 estudiantes con una edad media de 11,6 años. Los resultados revelaron que el 96,8% de los participantes juegan y que el 47,3% lo hace entre 1 y 2 horas. En cuanto a la mediación parental, el 74,16% de los padres controla el tiempo de acceso. El análisis de la relación entre el intervalo de tiempo y el rendimiento de los tipos de atención reveló que los niños que juegan de 1 a 2 horas al día tienen un mejor rendimiento de la atención concentrada y los que juegan entre 2 y 6 horas muestran un mejor rendimiento de la atención dividida, pero sin revelar una diferencia estadísticamente significativa.]]></p></abstract>
